Clay Porter is a director, cinematographer and editor who has spent over half his life documenting action sport honing a filmmaking skill set that spans virtually every aspect of production and post. His core mountain bike film Deathgrip was streamed globally on Netflix for two years, the longest streaming term a core action sports film has ever been on Netflix for. The film was translated into 44 different languages and was the number 1 indie, documentary and sports film on iTunes during its release week. In 2009, Porter created the first ever web series for Red Bull titled The Atherton Project which went onto see global television syndication In 2020, his footage played on the iPhone screen during Apple’s global launch of the iPhone12 Pro. Porter’s cinematography has been used in campaigns for many of the worlds largest brands including Apple, Nike, Coca Cola, Honda, Lexus, Kia, Rolex, Rivian and Red Bull. Porter is an Emmy winner for “outstanding remote production” for his cinematography work on the Red Bull Rampage live show open and is an Emmy nominee for “outstanding camera work” for his work on the mountain bike adventure documentary North Of Nightfall.
